Always check the software vendor site for compatibility questions. It did open, but then there was a pop up warning and then I get the rainbow wheel. Then double-click a random Pages document to see it will open normally. Try pressing and holding down the shift-key while you launch Pages.

Would I have to update in stages, like 10.11, 10.12 and then 10.13 to finally get to install pages again, or can I still and install 10.13 directly?
